The life and times of a post-middle-age horse owner and her friends
Your house looks so well put together - did you do some schooling in Interior Design? By any chance?
I was thinking the same thing Steph! So Leah is that the case or do you have a natural gift?btw have to tell you I had a bit of a "doh!" moment... saw your tile floor and was thinking 'I wonder if that's cool?' then I remember where you live and thought you probably don't mind if your floors are a bit cold! lol
Very cool stuff! Love the drum under the table. I wish I had a new place to decorate. Sometimes, being in the same place for so long, you lose your ambition to redo your space.
You're all too kind. I had fine arts studio training. I made my living as a graphic designer from the mid 1970s until a couple of years ago when I decided to lean more heavily on my writing abilities. Imagine that, using my degree after all these years LOL.
Are those old baskets on the table?
Looks lovely! Love the table. I am not the best decorator. I leave that to my mother!
jylynn, the baskets are African, but aren't old. That's the funny thing about the stuff we have: it comes from all over the world. We have collected things that attracted our attention and somehow, it all fits together. So I guess you could say it has been decorated with (the things we) love. And cdncowgirl, yes, the floors are cool. You aren't the first to ask out that question. The tile is a blessing most of the year. For the short time it's cold, we just wear socks. Upkeep is so easy.
love you little cozy corner! Love the floor tile and it is a great color! My cowboy was a tile setter for 30 yrs, and specialized in stone work. Now he needs two new knees!!!
