It's 5:00 Somewhere

I found this cool old bronze clock at a resale shop in St. Marys, Pennsylvania almost 20 years ago. I had to replace the electric mechanism with a battery one, but the battery corroded the contacts about 6 months ago and it stopped at 1:05. I decided it wasn't worth doing anything about it, but I still like the clock.

Yesterday, I had this brilliant idea.

The next time someone says to you that it's 5:00 somewhere, you can tell them you know where, because it's always 5:00 at Casa Fry.

As my engineer dad would say, that clock is right--twice a day!

Ah, Fetlock stole my comment!!
Well, I can add... the clock is accurate to the hundredth of a second, twice a day!

Nice clock. I have a coocoo
clock that stays at 6:00. Hmmm, I should change it to 5:00.

I got your package. Thank you so much for everything! I love the book and dvd. The rhythm beads are very cool too. I've got to show some photos of the horses modeling them. And I already use the bag because I'm the original bag lady. hehee.

oh that's funny: )

i was in this feed store recently and they had this clock and the hands were just racing around - it was so odd! i wanted it. she said it's a satellite clock that every so often does that but then stops on the correct time. i still want it!

and then i found out about unix time this week. oh boy that will show you the passage of time.

try it. it is the number of elapsed seconds since jan 1 1970. it will make you feel geeky and also give you a sense of urgency, hehe: )
