Lazy Day With the Boyz

I had the most wonderful day with my horses. I literally laid around with them, playing with my new camera. Here are some of the stills.

It's amazing to me that I can get so close. The minimum distance with my old camera was something like 3 ft. With this one, it's 7" and I haven't even tried the macro setting yet.

But the best part was plugging in the USB port and having my Mac and my camera make nice-nice immediately, with no intervention from me. Pix, video — it handled everything for me. I do, however, need some sort of video editing tool. I just have the freebie version of Quick Time, which will only play the video.

Leah--What kind of camera did you get? I got $$ for a new one and yours did some great shots! SUPER cute! Sure was wonderful weather yesterday, eh?

Those look like some happy boys. Love the first too goofy pictures. I can never catch my girls doing that. Great pictures.

I always love spending time at the barn taking pictures. It was funny, last time I was taking pictures of Halo for my blog, a couple of the barn kids came up to me wide-eyed and asked in horror if I was selling her. It was too funny.

Having them on small acreage has its challenges, but I do love being able to just walk outside and lie down with them. Photo opps abound!

Horse hooves may not be as sweet as little baby toes, but there is something special about them when the horse is laying down like that. Awww!

And I think I heard a horse snore in one of those bottom photos. lol!

I love all your photos. I can't wait until I can get out with my critters with my new camera. What fun!

Happy New Year!
