Characters from My Name is Earl: Randy, Catalina, Crabman, Joy, and Earl

I was standing outside the garage,

talking to the Boyz.
Suddenly, they were on alert,
eyes intent on something at the
top of the driveway,
heads high, ears flicking,
noses working overtime.

I took a step back,
for reasons we all know well.

Then we all saw it:

a horse pulling a small cart.

At the reins was my neighbor

down the road;
the one who lets his
@#%*! dogs
run loose; the ones
I bitch about after
just about every ride.

The Boyz took a few steps

in that direction, then stopped again.
I suggested they pay their respects.
They took off toward the gate
at a brisk trot,

heads high, tails flagged.

The horse shied.
Neighbor got the rig turned
around and they headed back
in the direction from whence they came.
A lot faster.

Paybacks are hell, neighbor.

Too bad neighbour won't realize that his dogs cause similar problems.

Yes it is. But you know how it is. Nobody really wants to say anything to anybody about anything for fear of upsetting the neighborhood dynamic. There's another post in this somewhere.

Nothing can spook a horse like a horse and cart...or a horse coming fast in their direction! People who let their dogs ^&*&% all over are usually the same ones that ^&*(& will do it themselves in the right circumstances!!!

I love that Earl show. My neighbor's boarders aren't particularly good about avoiding spooking and distracting my horses when I'm riding, yet when they are riding their horses through my property, their horses totally ignore my dogs barking (from behind the fence) and my horses charging the fence in excitement.
