En La Casa #10

These wooden plaques live in the
bathroom you would use if you were a
guest at Casa Fry.

They belonged to my late father.
It was hard to get good photos because
the light kept reflecting off
the polyurethane.

They were made by
a friend of his, who is
also now deceased.
Each is approx. 24" tall

He cut the shapes with a jigsaw,
colored them with different stains,
then glued them to the background.

I've always been fond of them.

I used to go to a restaurant that had wall art similar to that. The restaurant owner was the artist. I always hoped to buy one from him someday.

Very cool, especially since they have sentimental value. Your father was obviously very artistic.
