Bareback on a Rockstar

Who did you think I was talking about?

I rode Poco today for the first time
since my rodeo injury.

We rode in the round pen
for maybe 20 minutes,

then around the back pasture,
across the dry creek bed
to the hitchin' post.

Thumbs up to the new bareback pad.
I am going to ride
bareback more often.
I enjoy it and I know it will help
me be a better rider.

I should have named him
Wildman Rockstar
"Rocky"
My beautiful, beautiful boy.

But he'll always be my Pokey Pony.

It is what it is.
This photo
only made the cut because of Jaz,
our resident comedian,
nudging the back of my helmet.

He licked my hands.

And was just being Jaz.

I'm chillin' in the silence as Mr. Fry sleeps.
Hope y'all are having a great weekend.

Yeh, Poco's definetely channeling his inner Gene Simmons. lol!
I swear, in that first photo he looks like he has an Icelandic body. He's so drafty. And such a handsome boy. He looks comfy to ride, like sitting on a sofa. I bet the new bareback pad is so comfy, too.

So what did ya do with your cowboy hat helmet? The hot pink looks cute on you, though.

Lisa, I grabbed the raspberry helmet first. The hat helmet is kind of heavy and hot anyway.

Yes, he is a very comfy ride :-)

Kate, to me, he's just gorgeous.

What a couple of characters. I'll bet they are a lot of fun to horse around with.

I love that first picture! lol Definitely rocker material. I wish I could enjoy my crazy horse like you can. I'm too scared to try bareback and I think she's too scared to ever do a trail ride. Our barn owner thinks she's crazy :)

Whoa, don't let him near a stage with those fragile guitars!

:)

Glad to hear you are riding again. Bareback is best for finding your rythmn, isn't it?
