He Doesn't Need Any Help!

Jaz is one of those horses that spends his whole life
searching for the perfect place to die.

There is never a time when
he's not wounded somewhere.

Or multiple somewheres.

We keep Micro-Tek and Nolvasan in business.

This horse can hurt himself on sharp air.

He rubs his tail bald because he's
allergic to the no-see-um bites.

So, knowing that we own a horse that
does this to himself ...

... what in holy hell is Mr. Fry thinking,
leaving the hay spike sticking
straight out
,

at belly height,
right next to the feed pans???

I was too busy explaining equine safety
or lack thereof
and asking him to kindly
lower the spike
to get a photo of it at the previous angle.

I love the guy, but jeez!

LOL!!! Wow, your boy sure loves to get into things! Mr. Frey needs to make sure you have a sec to wrap that horse in bubble wrap if he is going to put a bunch of obstacles in the pasture!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

I LOVE Nolvolsan... It smells like fruit loops!!

Oh no! Hopefully Mr. Fry won't make that mistake again!
Brandy has a tendency to get scraped up quite a bit too. But not sure what she does. There isn't anything in the pasture to hurt herself on. But a couple trees, their run in shed and rocks. Always makes me wonder!

I have one of those here one my ranch!! I'd swear that horse can get himself cut up in a rubber room!! OH Hubby's sometimes!!! I told mine the other day that it's not that he doesn't have commonsense it's just that he doesn't think of the end result of something...Like we women do!!

Mike is well-intentioned, but sometimes his thought process stops just short of the mark. He gives them credit for a whole lot more sense than they actually have. He once left a bottle of mole poison on the crossbar of the run-in shed. When I called him on it, he said, "Why would they want anything to do with that?" Because they're horses and because it's THERE -- it's where they eat.

Yeh, what is with horses and all their nicks and scrapes and cuts? They get more of them then both of my twinling sons combined!
Baby Doll is always getting little scrapes on her hocks and butt area. The only thing I can figure is that she scrapes herself when rolling on the ground.

Maybe we could wrap 'em up in bubble wrap.....but could you imagine what they'd do while rolling...and popping? LOL!

If they are anything like my kids and bubble wrap, the ponies would roll on purpose just to pop those bubbles. hehe!

I hear you about the sharp things - we had bunch of those tractor blades (city girl, can you tell?) right by the wash rack. It was a wreck just waiting for my clutzy horse!
